Physical fitness is: "the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure”

– Joseph Pilates

About Pilates

The Pilates Method is a series of exercises developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve posture. Each exercise is focused around the “powerhouse” (the back and abdominal muscles) therefore eliminating tension and stress away from the joints. Pilates is a centering form of exercise, working the mind and body together that not only gives you a more efficient work out, but will carry over into your everyday activities.

Who is Pilates for?
Pilates is for anyone and everyone. Pilates is for all ages. Whether you want to gain a greater range of motion for your golf swing, or you are an elite athlete striving for a stronger center and better agility, Pilates is right for you. If you have never worked out a day in your life and just want to strengthen and tone your body, Pilates is right for you.
